A fixed panel only ever points one way, and a power bank only ever holds what you charged it with. This one unfolds across four hinged sections to catch more sun, folds flat when you're done, and clips to the outside of a pack instead of taking up room inside it.
What you're getting
Unfold all four panels toward the sun and plug straight in - the charging cable is already built into the control pad, and there's a separate USB port for your own cable. A small indicator light confirms it's generating before you walk away.
The four panels fold in on fabric hinges and buckle shut with a strap, down to about the footprint of a paperback. A metal eyelet and nylon strap let it clip to a pack or hang from a guy line, with a small compass along for the ride.
There is no internal battery to run flat in a drawer. Point it at the sun and it charges whatever's plugged in directly, or fill a separate power bank during the day and draw on that after dark.

How is this different from your other solar chargers?
Our Portable Solar Power Station and Solar WaterProof Charger are both battery power banks with a small fixed panel built in. This one is the opposite - four full folding panels and no battery at all, built to gather more sun and feed a phone or a separate power bank directly, not to be a power bank itself.
How fast does it charge a phone?
In direct overhead sun, slowly but usefully - think topping up over a couple of hours rather than a wall charger. Cloud cover, panel angle, heat and time of day all change that a lot. We don't quote a wattage figure here because we can't verify one for a panel this size.
Can it charge a power bank instead of a phone?
Yes, and that's usually the better way to run it: let the panel fill a power bank during the day, then charge your phone from the bank at night. A steady load handles changing light better than a phone's charging circuit does.
Is it waterproof?
The panels are laminated and the body is fabric, so it shrugs off sun, dust and a light shower. It is weather-resistant, not waterproof - don't leave it out in sustained rain and don't submerge it or the USB port.
